Songs for the darkest season: some traditional carols and hymns, a few newly discovered treasures, and a couple original songs. This season of the year, around winter solstice and advent, is traditionally a time of external rest and deep inner work. The harvest is in, fields are fallow. Though a perennial's life appears to fade, it's energy is returning to the root under the earth. The potency of this season is to charge it for life for the season to come.
