Unfolding
Written and recorded during and just following Trish's pregnancy with their son Sam, both the lyrics and music are packed with that depth of mystery and wonder. A blend of ancient rhythms, contemporary melodies, and deeply personal lyrics about life and transformation, Unfolding offers listeners the musical span of global chants in "Healing, O Healing" and the title track, "Unfolding"; to the eloquent lyrics and delicate melodies of "Illumine Me" and Labyrinth Walk." Features "Birth Energy" by Kenny Loggins, a song written for his own then-pregnant wife, celebrating the mystery and power of a birthing spirit. Unfolding is home to the celebrated "Welcome to this Circle", a radically-invitational song present at weddings, healing services, baptisms and dedications, yoga and meditation classes, retreats, 12-step meetings, and worship services all over the globe; and deeply moving to Trish, this song is sung and played for the freshest of lives on our planet at home births and in delivery rooms, welcoming in new life.
